1. Prelim Task
My prelim task was to in a group of three film a two person dialogue using as many
camera shots as possible this was done to familiarise or teach us the basic knowledge
of film, it was also to get us to socialise with other people within our group so that we
were able to feel more comfortable within our class. In my prelim task we used a
various amount of camera shots, one of the most effective being the close up as you
are able to see the personas facial expressions, we also used a two person shot which
allows the audience to see both people in the camera frame and their reactions to what
is being said to them.
However the shots that was not so effective was the over the shoulder shot as we
crossed the 180 degree line which made it look like they were beside each other rather
than opposite. This is why if we were to do it again I would change the way in which
we angled the camera and have a more dramatic dialogue so the prelim would appeal
to the audience more. Overall I think that our group was successful in creating our
prelim task.
