1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
2. Cannon PowerShot G10 To take my photographs I used a Cannon PowerShot G10, I had never used this camera before and had spent quite a long time deciding which settings were best during my test shots. Despite having little experience using the camera, it was very easy use and I am very happy with the final photographs as they are very sharp and good quality.
3. Toshiba Satellite I used this laptop to do most of my magazine. I have had it for about 2 years so I was comfortable with its controls. However this computer is not the best and after downloading Photoshop there was often lag when moving or editing my magazine. Despite some problems I managed to finish my magazine to a standard I was happy with and having a laptop meant that I do work at home as well as school.
4. Photoshop CS5 Before starting media I had never used Photoshop before. However although it can be very tedious at times I am quite fond of Photoshop as there are so many different effects and editing tools that can be used to your advantage. Since discovering Photoshop my skills have really improved and I am confident using the software. I believe my confidence in the software comes across in my magazine, as I believe it has a professional finish.
5. Flickr I have only a flickr a small amount. I found it really easy to set up and it was very quick at uploading photo’s. Once the photo’s were uploaded tags, notes and a description could be added to the photo’s with ease. After editing the photo’s you can then upload them or add a link. Overall I found flickr quick and simple to use and would recommend it.
6. Scribd I have used Scribd throughout my media project. Although Sribd is very useful I find it very slow and irritating. Despite this without Sribd I would be in trouble.
7. Blogger Blogger is an extremely useful and efficient way to upload work to the internet. Since beginning media I been extremely impressed with Blogger as it allows you to create a completely unique area which can be customised to your individual types. The one thing which I think could be improved on Blogger is the text box, which can be temperamental.
8. Slideshare Slide share is similar to Scribd apart from the fact that it uploads Powerpoints. I have used Slideshare many times and have found it to be a reliable and helpful software program.
