2. How Is Fleshly Israel in
Godâs Plan?
Modern politicians and religionists strictly
believe that the nation of Israel is the specially
chosen people of God.
Lack of understanding of Godâs word causes
people to look for the Lordâs land promise to
come to Israel. The plain truth is that this
promise was fulfilled in the long ago. âAnd the
Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he
sware to give unto their fathers; and they
possessed it, and dwelt thereinâ (Joshua 21:43).
Not only is Israel not modern heirs of any land
promise, they have no special advantage in the
matter of salvation. There is a false view that, at
some point in time, Israel, in totality, will be
saved.
It is spiritual Israel, not fleshly Israel who will
be saved. These are the ones who obey the gospel
call. They are then recognized by God as
âAbrahamâs seed, and heirs according to the
promiseâ (Galatians 3:26-29).
Fleshly Israel has no special place whatsoever
in Godâs plan. Does this mean that there is no
place at all in Godâs plan for Israel? No indeed!
Godâs plan to save Israel is exactly the same
plan He has for the whole world (Mark 16:15,
16). Robert Kingsley
