consumption. Since there is risk of food safety hazards being introduced at any stage of the process, every
organiation in the food supply chain should exercise adequate hazard controls.
For Whom
All requirements of ISO 22000:2018 are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations in the food
chain, regardless of size and complexity. Organizations whom are directly or indirectly involved include, but are not
limited to, feed producers, food catering services, farmers, animal food product producers, food manufacturers,
packaging materials and other food contact materials, food product retailers, and organizations providing food
services, harvesters of wild plants and animals, cleaning and sanitation services, food product transporters, storage
and distribution services, suppliers of equipment, producers of ingredients, cleaning and disinfectants,.

level and the business level of the management system
It provides mores emphasis to connect to the Codex Alimentarius, a United Nations food group who is involved in
developing food safety guidelines for governments.
How to get certified?
Existing organisation can migrate from the existing ISO 22000:2005 to ISO 22000:2018, kindly refer to EAS transition
