So why did we decide build a solution like CloudClock? When we looked at the market for time clocks, we saw that there was a real lack of innovation in the space. If you look at the evolution of time clocks over the past few decades, not much as changed [you can contrast that to the iPhone vs. telephone]. Customers kept asking us for a hardware solution to capture time because they didn’t feel the time clocks on the market provided the same level of experience to match what they received from our TimeAttend software. Here are some of the main challenges they faced:-Limited flexibility – most clocks are single function, designed to only capture time. They are limited in functionality by their physical buttons or switches so if you want newer features you often need to purchase a new clock.-Physically constrained – Most clocks are hard wired so they are constrained physically and don’t adapt easily to your working environment-Maintenance Hassles – Maintenance is a hassle. When the time clock breaks down you need to call someone to fix it on site which can take a few days-Expensive – when you add up the initial cost of the clock, the maintenance and required upgrades, the total cost really starts to add up.
