Al-Kitab University was founded in 2012 in Iraq and has since expanded to include 9 colleges and 21 departments covering fields like law, engineering, dentistry, and more. It obtained university status in 2018 from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The university aims to provide innovative education and be recognized as a leading university in Iraq and the Middle East. It is located in a rural area between Erbil and Kirkuk and has dorms, labs, classrooms, and other facilities for its 5000+ students.

2. • The University was founded in 2012 as Al-Kitab
University College AKUC under the approval of the
Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific
Research MHESR, Iraq with its letter C/ 1655 on
26/3/2013.
• The University started in the academic year 2012-
2013 with three Departments:
1. The Department of Law,
2. The Department of Computer Technical Engineering , and
3. The Department of Finance and Banking
