2. ABOUT Vels University
The VELS Institute of Science, Technology, and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) is a
renowned university of Chennai that is governed and managed by the Governing
Board, Board of Management. This board consists of the members who belong
to the major renowned agencies. The President/Chancellor is the Chairman of
the Board and the entire team works for the improvement of VISTAS for a better
future. The university is approved by AICTE and provides the UGC approved
courses. The university has around 1000 domestic students and around 100
international students. The courses offered by the college are in the
undergraduate and the postgraduate levels across various streams. The college
publishes around 3500 research work by the students every year.
ADMISSIONS 2020-2021
The admission process in VELS university can be done through the offline and the
online process. The application prospectus is available online and offline both. The
candidates can visit the official website of the college and make an id there. The
candidates can find the application form there, fill it, add the required documents,
pay the application fee, and submit the form. The students will be selected based on
merit post which the interview cards will be sent out to the students. The college

3. Scholarships at VELS university
Scholarships at VELS University -
There are different types of scholarships offered by the VELS university for the
students. To the UG students of the college, 10% scholarship is provided if they
are willing to go for the PG course too from the university. For BA.L.L.B course,
the 10% scholarship in the Tuition fee for the 1 year who qualify in VEE. The
students coming from the sports quota will get 100% Tuition fee Concession and
free Hostel accommodation. All the first rankers in each programmed towards
the end-semester examinations shall be awarded merit scholarships.
