4. It started as a Secondary Technical School for Chemistry in
1966, and since then it has been enhanced with new study
sections such as Computer Studies (I.T.), Agriculture Syllabus
, Agronomic Technology and a Secondary School focussing on
Sciences.
The school week goes from Monday to Friday. Lessons start at 8
o’clock and finish at 14.15/15.15 and there is have a break in which
students can go out to have a snack or eat typical Sicilian food.
Lessons take often place in the several school laboratories.
In the afternoon students carry out optional educational activities
to improve their knowledge on some subjects such as Arts,
Science, Environment , English, Computer Technology besides
Sport Activities.
Students who enrol in this school attend five years qualifying
courses in Chemistry, ICT, Agriculture or the Secondary School
focussing on Sciences to get key competencies and specific
professional skills.

11. information technology section
This section builds up professional skills in the
production of software, individual and networking
laboratory design, computing facilities planning in
various companies, notably Telecommunication
companies.

Electronics and Telecommunications, Systems
Processing and Data Processing, Informatics, Calculus
of Probability, Statistics, Operational Research.
13. agriculture school section
This section trains skilled technicians in the sector of
agronomy, animal husbandry, environmental ecology
and business management. At the end of the course
students will be capable of managing farms, cattlebreeding, and agriculture and food processing
industries.
Core subjects to acquire professional skills are
Agricultural Chemistry , Agricultural Biology,
Management and Evaluation Techniques, Vegetable
Production Techniques, Breeding Techniques,
Topography.
15. vocational school for agricultural technicians
The Vocational School for Agricultural Technicians
trains the students to take on the management of
medium-sized farms and builds up professional skills
in the management of membership organizations and
centres of production, marketing and selling of
agricultural products.
Core subjects to acquire professional skills are
Agriculture Principles, Chemistry
Principles, Agricultural Accounting, Agricultural
Ecology, Business Economics.
