I was just shocked to listen from political corners that Tobacco do not cause cancer, it has been for
more than three decades that the governmental and NGO’s are working on the matter to educate the
people ON HARMS OF tobacco today the uneducated and semi educated people can distort the matters.
I wish to state that I was a chronic smoker for more than 20 years, when I met one surgeon from UK
was in Adayar cancer Hospital besides my father ailing with cancer of lung he told me stop smoking as I
am a victim of lung cancer because of chronic Smoking. However smoking certainly has great impact on
quality of life, Smoking continues to be major reason for chronic Bronchitis apart from Tuberculosis,
many poor people with chronic bronchitis approach the general practitioners and major cause of
developing drug resistance when the people take suboptimal doses of antibiotics We all know India is a
> Billion population the system has little control on the population, Today the society is guided by
conflicts of interests, I do not blame the uneducated and semi educated politicians for all the matters
even the educated people are more or less no better than our politicos The educated write scientific
papers without knowing anything with sensationalism and researchers today are manipulating the
entire established knowledge, it is tragic that Medical thesis are written without even collecting
processing the samples , and the volumes of books are published for the award of PhD to get
promotions and Titles. If the Medical doctors follow these unscientific papers it is catastrophic to many
innocent humans. We like to think that science is a bastion of virtue, untouched by science fraud.
Human nature dictates that scientists are human and are always going to be prone to bias and error.
Most such mistakes are subconscious, and a result of looking too hard for patterns that are not there.
Unfortunately, there are a number of more sinister cases, where scientists deliberately fabricated
results, usually for personal fame. With the advent of corporate and politically funded research grants,
poor results are becoming more dictated by policy than by scientific infallibility here are many types of
science fraud, from minor manipulation of results or incorrect causal connections to full-blown
fabrication of results and plagiarism of the work of others. The things go wrong as the Institutes have
no control institutions are often reluctant to discipline wrongdoers, ignoring it, quietly shifting the
fraudster to another department or even disciplining the wrongdoer. Science has a problem that people
are reluctant to risk losing their careers to report science fraud, if we try to do it we stand alone, the
problem is that it is difficult for reviewers to isolate flawed results without repeating the experiment
themselves. Today whatever we write and manipulate has meaning to some first time readers, many
matters need long proof there are scientists who can do anything for a price or promotion however A
major shift in scientific beliefs does not happen with one paper, however ground-breaking the
research. Hundreds of papers are required for the scientific community to accept something as ‘proof’.
Thank what went wrong with the manipulated results on Measles vaccination, the scientific paper with
catastrophic to the whole humanity.
SCIENCE WITHOUT ETHICS IS CATASTROPHIC TO MANY HUMANS. A COMMONBELIEVES IN
SENSATIONALISM AND CAN BE DANGEROUS TO SOCIETY HOWEVER WE CANNOT STOP IT
BETTER TO IGNORE IT FOR BETTER LIVING
