An irrational number cannot be written as a fraction OR as a repeating decimal
Examples of irrational numbers are 7, 1.23456, and 𝜋
5. Integers
An integer can be positive, negative, or 0
An integer does not include fractions or decimals
Examples of integers are -3, 6, 0, 1, and 10.
6. Whole Numbers
Whole numbers can only be 0 or positive
Whole numbers can not include fractions or decimals
Examples of whole numbers include 0, 1, 3, 10, 12, and 20039384
7. Natural (or Counting) Numbers
Natural numbers can only be positive
Natural numbers cannot include fractions or decimals
Examples of natural numbers include 1, 2, 5, 6, 1000393, and 1000000000
