We will reach out to any middle school to high school student ranging from the ages 12 through 18.
At camp Oceans Quest We offer classes in snorkeling, surfing, sailing, team canoeing, scuba diving, and swimming with the dolphins in are own special Resort. We have trained professionals in all these resorts. We will have group competitions in canoeing and in treasure hunting. To make it fair we will do it for each age group. We will have will make sure you learn how to properly scuba dive, and have fun bonding with separate instructors in surfing.
We also offer throughout our camp a swimming with the dolphins session for a week in the middle of the camp. Where we make sure each member gets a chance to play and swim with the dolphins. And watch them do some exciting tricks.
We also offer a certified Marine Biology class that offers both a high school and college credit. But to receive this credit the student has to get a C in the course and to earn the college credit the student must get a B. We only offer this in the state of Florida. What separates our camp from the high school classroom is not only do we teach you in the classroom setting which is a typical day in school while your sitting down taking notes and trying to write down everything the professor says we give you a hands on experience to learn in the ocean as well taking you out to the ocean through out the camp session. The high school credit is covered throughout every public and private high school throughout the state and starts at the age of 12 so your middle school kid can get an early credit entering high school if he passes the course. A head start in high school I wish I had that opportunity when I was 12. Also, for the college credit the student has to be 14 years of age and enrolled in a high school to receive the college credit. What is unique about this we offer this credit for any college that has the course in the undergraduate general education course introduction to Marine Science. In which I personally know that University of Miami has.
As you can see by our slogan we don’t want you to see the ocean as a threatening and scary place, instead we want you to see it as a fun and exciting playground for each member to explore and unforgettable experience and adventure.
