2. WHAT IS DATA?
Data is raw
Data simply exists and has no significance beyond its existence
It can exist in any form, usable or not and it does not have meaning of itself
In computer parlance, the spreadsheet/microsoft excel is generally for data
Data are values of qualitative or quantitative variables, belonging to a set of item
Data are any facts, numbers, or text that can be processed manually or by a computer
