Municipal Corporation of Delhi is the largest
civic body in the world.
The quality of services provided by MCD is often
poor and response to grievances is slow
Existence of other civic agencies such as Delhi
Development Authority leads to multiplicity of
agencies and diminishing accountability
5. Expected Outcomes
• Through citizen report cards citizens are informed
who is accountable and enabled to evaluate and
demand better services
• Through increased public pressure and by
providing an interface platform, Municipal
corporations are made responsive to the public’s
needs
• By giving a boost to collaborative governance,
initiative will lead to improvements in public
services
