1. Access your router’s administration panel Wireless
To access the admin panel, type 192.168.1.1 in your
browser’s address bar and press enter. (If that doesn’t
work, try these as well: 192.168.1.100, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.0.1)
2. Login using the default username and password.
The default username and password can be found in your router manual.
3. Once logged in, change the admin password.
The admin password change form is usually found in the Administration or Security tab.
4. Under Wireless Security, enable the Security Mode.
The most secure security mode is WPA2, followed by WPA and WEP.
That’s it, you’re done! Now all your Internet surfing and email will be sent securely to your wireless
router.
