The walrus is a sea mammal and its scientific name is
adobenidaerosmarus. The walrus is the largest sea-
lion and has thick clumsy body. It has grey or brown
skin and thick layer of blubber, which is fat. A male
walrus called a bull, a female is called a cow and a
baby is a calf. It has two ivory tusks and its feet are
flattened into flippers. It has big whiskers on its upper
lip. The male walrus can weigh up to 1,200 kilograms
and the female walrus can weigh up to 800 kilograms.
An adult male may gro as long 3.6 metres and the
female can grow as long as 2.5 metres.
Walruses live in the Arctic seas of North America,
Europe and Asia. They migrate in the spring and
autumn following food and the pack ice which recedes
at that time.
The walrus mainly eats bottom dwelling invertebrates
like clams, snails, crabs and shrimps but first they use
their big whisker to feel around for the food. Then they
blow the food loose so they can get to it. They need to
do it to move or they can’t get it because of their big
tusks.
Walruses don’t stay in the water all the time and they
spend much of the time resting on ice floes. They use
their tusks, which grow to about 60 centimetres long
in the female and 120 centimetres long in the male, to
pull themselves out of the water and onto the ice. The
males also use their tusks to fight with other males in
order to earn the right to mate.
Internet has been the ost outstanding
discussion in the history of mankind. With internet,
our earth has become a global village. Yet, like
many other human made technologies, it has own
advantages and disadvantages.
There are plenty of software that can
entertain us or help us to communicate with our
beloved ones. In a mere second, we can chat for
hours with a person who is sitting at the other parts
of the world, read our e-mail in our smart phone or
listen to our favorite radio broadcast by streaming it
on our tablet.
With its easy access, internet also has its
disadvantages. One of them is children may be
exposed to violence and explicit contents that only
suitable for adults. There are thousands of such
inappropriate contents on internet which can be
easily found. It is a very serious issue and may
harm children well-being.
Although, internet can create havoc and
destruction, its advantages are more important than
its disadvantages.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
By J.K. Rowling
Reviewed by Emily Kremer
I like this book because it kept me wanting
to read more. The book is a definitely a page-turner I
recommend this book to any nine years old and
over.
The book takes place in modern times in
England. The main character is Harry Potter. Harry
Potter is a wizard. He goes to a school for witches
and wizards, called Hogwarts.
It is Harry’s second year at Hogwarts. He
and his two friends, Hermione Granger and Ron
Weasley are having a great time learning magic.
There is a new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart who
keeps nagging Harry, because the professor thinks
that Harry tries to steal spotlight to be famous! While
all the witches at school love the new professor, all
of the wizards think that he is a big joke!
After a month of school at Hogwarts,
strange attacks begin to happen. First, the
caretaker’s cat, Mrs. Norris, has been found, not
dead, but petrified! Not only was the cat attacked,
but some of the Muggle-born students at Hogwarts
have been found petrified too. Naturally, all of the
students are frightened at this, but they become
even more scared when the next victim to be found
petrified is Gryffindor ghost, Nearly Headless Nick!
What kind of monsters is powerful enough
to kill someone who is already dead? Who will be
the next victim of the monster at Hogwarts? Will the
victims ever be revived? To find out you must read
Harry and the chamber of secrets. I have to say that
the story was bright, fast-paced, intriguing, and
ultimately satisfying.
On May 16, 2010, people in most regions in the
world saw a very rare natural phenomenon. It was
Venus eclipse. It was a very rare amazing natural
event. It was reported that the Venus eclipse would
be seen again in the future in 2050. Do you know
how this rare Venus eclipse happens?
Well, actually eclipse is like Sun eclipse. Venus
eclipse occurs when the position of the earth, moon
and Venus is parallel. Venus planet will slowly
disappear for a moment because it is covered by
the surface of the Moon.
The moon and the planet are sharing a similar path
in the sky. That is why, it is not unusual for the
moon to appear to pass close to Venus. In fact, the
moon appears somewhere near it about once a
month. However, most people don’t see these
events because they are visible in the evening sky
only half the time, and then only for a short period
after sunset.

international learning center.
B. The job vacancy in service industries and the
educational sector.
C. The announcement of an international school
opening.
D. The advertisement of an international learning

37. What are two main subjects in the institute?
A. Leadership and interpersonal communication.
B. Presentation skills and public speaking.
C. Communication and teacher training.
D. Communication, speech and drama.
E. English and accent neutralization.
Faster planes and cheaper flights are making
it easier than ever before for people to travel. In the
most ‘developed’ societies, visiting exotic places is a
sought-after status symbol. The tourism industries of
both developed and developing countries have
recognized this fact and are learning to take
advantage of it.
There are, however, some problems
associated with this new industry. Firstly, there is the
increasing crime rate. Some locals see tourist as an
easy prey because, not only are they in unfamiliar
territory and therefore less able to take care of
themselves, but also they carry visible items of
wealth, such as cameras and jewelry which can
disposed of quickly for profit.
Another major problem is health. With
greater mobility comes greater danger of danger of
spreading contagious disease around the world. One
carrier returning home could easily start an epidemic
before their illness was diagnosed. Moreover, the
emergence of many disease which resist antibiotics
is causing scientists to be increasingly concerned
about this issue.
Also to be considered is the natural
environment, which can be seriously threatened
by too many visitors. Australia’s Great Barrier Reef,
for example, is in danger of being destroyed by
tourists and there are plans to restrict visitors to
some of the more delicate coral cays

It has grey or brown skin and thick layer of blubber, which is fat. A male walrus called a bull, a female is called a cow and a baby is a calf. It has two ivory tusks and its feet are flattened into flippers. It has big whiskers on its upper lip. The male walrus can weigh up to 1,200 kilograms and the female walrus can weigh up to 800 kilograms. An adult male may gro as long 3.6 metres and the female can grow as long as 2.5 metres. Walruses live in the Arctic seas of North America, Europe and Asia. They migrate in the spring and autumn following food and the pack ice which recedes at that time. The walrus mainly eats bottom dwelling invertebrates like clams, snails, crabs and shrimps but first they use their big whisker to feel around for the food. Then they blow the food loose so they can get to it. They need to do it to move or they can’t get it because of their big tusks. Walruses don’t stay in the water all the time and they spend much of the time resting on ice floes. They use their tusks, which grow to about 60 centimetres long in the female and 120 centimetres long in the male, to pull themselves out of the water and onto the ice. The males also use their tusks to fight with other males in order to earn the right to mate. Internet has been the ost outstanding discussion in the history of mankind. Rowling Reviewed by Emily Kremer I like this book because it kept me wanting to read more. The book is a definitely a page-turner I recommend this book to any nine years old and over. The book takes place in modern times in England. The main character is Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a wizard. He goes to a school for witches and wizards, called Hogwarts. It is Harry’s second year at Hogwarts. He and his two friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are having a great time learning magic. There is a new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart who keeps nagging Harry, because the professor thinks that Harry tries to steal spotlight to be famous! While all the witches at school love the new professor, all of the wizards think that he is a big joke! After a month of school at Hogwarts, strange attacks begin to happen. First, the caretaker’s cat, Mrs. Norris, has been found, not dead, but petrified! Not only was the cat attacked, but some of the Muggle-born students at Hogwarts have been found petrified too. Naturally, all of the students are frightened at this, but they become even more scared when the next victim to be found petrified is Gryffindor ghost, Nearly Headless Nick! What kind of monsters is powerful enough to kill someone who is already dead? Who will be the next victim of the monster at Hogwarts? Will the victims ever be revived? To find out you must read Harry and the chamber of secrets. I have to say that the story was bright, fast-paced, intriguing, and ultimately satisfying. On May 16, 2010, people in most regions in the world saw a very rare natural phenomenon. It was Venus eclipse. It was a very rare amazing natural event. It was reported that the Venus eclipse would be seen again in the future in 2050. Do you know how this rare Venus eclipse happens? Well, actually eclipse is like Sun eclipse. Venus eclipse occurs when the position of the earth, moon and Venus is parallel. Venus planet will slowly disappear for a moment because it is covered by the surface of the Moon. The moon and the planet are sharing a similar path in the sky. That is why, it is not unusual for the moon to appear to pass close to Venus. In fact, the moon appears somewhere near it about once a month. However, most people don’t see these events because they are visible in the evening sky only half the time, and then only for a short period after sunset. (http://www.englishdirection.com)

Faster planes and cheaper flights are making it easier than ever before for people to travel. In the most ‘developed’ societies, visiting exotic places is a sought-after status symbol. The tourism industries of both developed and developing countries have recognized this fact and are learning to take advantage of it. There are, however, some problems associated with this new industry. Firstly, there is the increasing crime rate. Some locals see tourist as an easy prey because, not only are they in unfamiliar territory and therefore less able to take care of themselves, but also they carry visible items of wealth, such as cameras and jewelry which can disposed of quickly for profit. Another major problem is health. With greater mobility comes greater danger of danger of spreading contagious disease around the world. One carrier returning home could easily start an epidemic before their illness was diagnosed. Moreover, the emergence of many disease which resist antibiotics is causing scientists to be increasingly concerned about this issue. Also to be considered is the natural environment, which can be seriously threatened by too many visitors. Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, for example, is in danger of being destroyed by tourists and there are plans to restrict visitors to some of the more delicate coral cays Accénxia HELPING YOU REACH THE STARS UNLOCK YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL INTERNATINALLY RECOGNISED INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATION INTERNATIONAL STANDARD AN INTERNATIONAL LEARNING CENTER FOR LEADERSHIP AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION TO DEVELOP POTENTIAL, TALENT ACROSS A WIDE ARENA OF SERVICE INDUSTRIES AND THE EDUCATIONAL SECTOR.  EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION  TEACHER TRAINING  TRAIN THE TRAINER  PRESENTATION SKILLS  PUBLIC SPEAKING  ENGLISH FOR WORK  ACCENT NEUTRALIZATIO  SPEECH & DRAMA  COMMUNICATION ETIQUETTE
