Role: L2 Production Support Executive
Roles & Responsibilities:
 Level 2 Production Support to one of the world’s well known FX app Autobahn
FX(GUI,API,FIX protocol API interfaces) and related pricing applications such
as Rates Manager,Spot Admin,Forward Workbench(Reflex architecture)and also
hedging applications such as DNA and AXE(Algorithmic Execution engine)
 Knowledge of various FX products and technicalities involved in FX Trading to
handle variety of issues that has high reputational/financial impact for the Bank
 Work on issues raised by various media such as Ticketing
tools,email,phone,chat,communicator by both external clients,client services as
well as internal Traders.
 Handle critical issues reported by Bank’s traders related to pricing that affects the
multiple clients and resolve the same with highest level of priority with accurate
checks/analysis of pricing sources such as Excel sheet,Pricing curves etc
 Also handle Hedging issues such as Orders placed through AXE models to DNA
on external market by Bank’s Traders after calculation of risk by
ARM(Automated Risk Management)
 Quick and to-the-point analysis of issues provided along with workaround in
applicable cases and involve concerned teams such as Development,
DBA,Unix,Network operations etc with exact info to proceed further to find best
possible solution.
 Perform Smoke checks during weekend Non-Production hours
 Verify various backend processes on Unix server are up and also check the
front-end interface along with various downstreams are good and start
them if required.
 Issues detected are escalated to Development and/or involve various teams
with logging and exact problem analysis to solve various issues detected
 Involve in various Product releases and deployment of higher versions of
applications along with the Development team

3.  Perform various additional release-specific smoke checks to verify basic
functionality as well as additional features that get added in new
releases/deployments.
 Make sure that all the pre-requisites such as permissions required for
accessing front-ends and additional checks are good and new packages are
ready for testing on Support infrastructure
 Involve in Disaster recovery activities for various Data centres on which servers
are located
 Prepare detailed documentation-DR plans,IT validation and Business
Testing for Upload the documents in portals for approval
 Shut down services on primary servers/disabling crons,liasing with Unix
to point the services to the secondary server/Network isolation between
Primary and secondary data centres
 IT validation for participating applications, front-ends and services are
verified for testing on secondary server
 After network isolation ends,involve in stopping services on secondary
server and starting up services/enabling crons on primary server
 IT validation for participating applications to verify services,front-ends
and various streams are good for going into Production.
 Work on production tickets raised by client services team and look into issues
reported by client,analyse impact for client(s)/Bank,prioritise tickets/tasks,check
logging on Unix servers client side logging and info from Database,gather
maximum info and provide workaround/solution as applicable
 Involve various teams such as Development,Unix,DBA.Network
operations as needed and solve client-specific issues
 Raise GCM’s for changes that need to be done either during Production hours or
Non-Production hours after prior approvals and liase to implement the same
 Involve in critical incidents(Sev-2 or higher) and liase with stakeholders such as
Sales/Business to communicate exact impact and work on priority to minimise
the impact and solve the issue
 Alerting tools such as Geneos that captures status/changes in Infra and Hardware
services on server
 Monitoring and action as per Runbook,check alerts that are not present in
Runbook,check impact and criticality,confirm the same with Development
team so as to include in Runbook.

4. Description of Autobahn FX/Support Provided
 Autobahn FX is one of the most used FX Trading platforms currently
 It offers clients interfaces such as GUI and API/FIX API (Application
Programming Interface)connecting via Internet/Intranet/Radianz lines to trade
various FX products such as Spots,Outrights,Swaps,Orders,Options etc
 The architecture Supported involves right from the sourcing of prices from
multiple external markets,blending them to provide prices to clients via Trader
applications such as Spot Admin and Forward Workbench which belong to Reflex
architecture(main Pricing system)
 The main application Autobahn FX which has 2 versions currently-Autobahn
Classic and AutobahnFX2
