Mrs. Harris:
Deon checked with the High School and they adamantly expressed they use theirs daily! Front office has a
wish list request for a computer for visitors to use when signing in and out of the building. Requesting
Jennifer’s help in pricing this item. It costs $925 for an all in one desktop package that includes: 1 CCSS
All-In-One Desktop, 2 Dymo Single Printers, 1 CCSS Deluxe Sign Pack, 1 USB Hub, 1 Webcam, 8 Roll
of Visitor Labels, 2 Roll of Tardy Passes. The license is $240 for 1 year and we can use up to 5 computers
on the same campus with this license. However, it’s a yearly renewal and discounted at 3 and 5 years.
They also have “Instant Predator Check” (already included in the program) that can be utilized if we
purchase a driver’s license scanner for $219. Tardy rolls and visitor labels and others are $9.75 each.
Each roll contains 300 stickers.
The Security camera server can only hold 32 cameras and we are at capacity. So, take cameras off the
table/annual budget goals, at this point. Central Office doesn’t have any information regarding the update
of security cameras yet.

December 11- (Thursday) Student Social- 2:30-4:30pm, is this correct? Yes
On 9-24-14 David Rands, Tim Wesley, Cameron Sult? Visit Ms Evans and volunteered 3 hours each for
TN History Day. They are Professors from APSU. It would be greatly appreciated if Ms Evans would
send a Thank You letter for their community service hours. Deon emailed out to Ms Evans. Would Mrs
Harris mind following up with this? Jennifer will take care of this for Ms Evans.
Deon needs to follow up with Richard Pryor –Sign Now. We do have electrical in the marquee. Prior
information was incorrect. Richard came out to the school and located the electric conduits at our school.
He is going to get together with Norm Brumblay at CMCSS and set a date to meet up and review the
electrical that will be needed!
Last Friday the 14th was our scheduled fundraiser night at Chipotle. When Hawk families arrived they
were told we were NOT scheduled. They have agreed to give us a date of January 19,2015 . Lori, Deon
has December 19th on the schedule as well for Chipotle, is this correct? Chipotle is making this up to us
by allowing us to schedule a night in December. Lori will check to see if December 12th is available since
it is an early release day. She is also going to see if the time of the fundraiser can begin at the time that
school releases that day. Lori will try to change the January date for Chipotle to another day since that
day is a school holiday.
Deon needs to get working with Coca Cola to ask for recycling bins for free or minimal amount. grant
opens up in January.

B. January 2nd (day out of calendar)
C. February 16th (Presidents Day)
D. Early release day on April 10th will be converted to a full day with 30 mins added to eight
additional school days to equal one day

3. Make up for days missed beyond this plan will be determined as circumstances require
Common Core update:
This year (2014-15), CMCSS will use both common core and TN diploma standards. Next year (2015-
16), Common Core will be used as the baseline in ELA and Math. There will be a link available for
parents to give feedback on the Common Core Standards. The county will then use the feedback to
determine good standards. Testing will then align with the determined standards. Surveys are available
through the Tennessee Department of Education. Each available curriculum plan can be evaluated and
feedback can be recorded.
Parent Question of the month:
Are schools adequately staffed to meet the system's mission and vision? If not, what are your concerns?
Dialogue: Discussed as a group and Elaine will report our concerns at the meeting next month. Some
concerns include student/teacher ratio, the need for more teachers and resources, etc. Elaine is also going
to explore the purpose of these questions each month and what the school system does with the
information that she reports to them regarding these questions.

Fundraising: Lori Rippy
Zaxbys- Did we receive flyers? Yes. Need to call and see if we made anything for October.
Why didn’t teachers hand out flyers for Clarksville Zombie Hunters fundraiser? We lost A LOT of
money! Flyers were put in teachers mail boxes on the 23rd before days end. The event was scheduled for
the 25th of October which gave them 2 days to hand out flyers. In the future, flyers will be in teachers’
boxes on a certain day each week (not Monday or Friday). They will know the day to send items home
with students. Also, the dates should be included in announcements and on the school calendar on the
CMCSS website.
Lori is going to check with Moe’s as a new restaurant fundraising source.

Computer Funding Presentation - Chris Hambrick
Mr. Hambrick is trying to raise about $23,000 in order to update the computers in our second computer
literacy lab. The school currently has Dell Optiplex computers in this particular lab. The school system is
phasing out these computers and will no longer support them regarding hardware issues. They are very
slow and don’t support his classroom technology needs very well.
Mr. Hambrick is requesting the PTO’s support in setting up the non-profit fundraising accounts with
Amazon Smiles, Kroger, and Publix. We will advertise these new opportunit ies to the school families
through PTO.
Mr. Hambrick and Deon are going to check with some people in Purchasing and IT to find out what is
being planned for technology in the schools in the near future.
