2. What do the Indians want
They want to earned the same money as the British, because they were in
their country.
They also want to have a self-government, they don’t want British to keep
the power in India.
Some of them began demanding more modernization and greater role in
governing themselves
3. Ram Mohun Roy
He began a campaign to move India away from traditional
practices and ideas, sometimes he is called “Father of Modern
India”
He thought that arranged child marriages and the rigid caste
separation as parts of religious life needed to be changed, he
believed that if this things didn’t change India would continue
to be controlled by outsiders.

other Indians to get together and revel and
change the things that are needed to be

He also do a social reform movement that
helped the change in India.

6. Nationalist Groups Form
• They found 2 nationalist groups:
Indian National Congress in 1885.
Muslim League in 1906.
• Such groups concentrated on specific concerns for Indians like democracy
and self-goverment.
7. Independence of India
Conflict over the control of India continued to develop between the Indians
and the British in the following years.
But India didn´t have an independence until 1947 with the of Mohandas
Gandhi fighting peacefully.

IN THIS TOPIC WE LEARNED THAT IN INDIA THEY HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS
BECAUSE INDIA GOVERNMENT WAS CONTROLLED BY BRITISH
GOVERNMENT.
ALSO THE INDIANS WERE VERY PERSISTANT TO HAVE THEIR INDEPENDENCE
AND THEY FOUGHT FOR IT AND EVEN THOUGH IT TOOK MANY YEARS, THEY
FINALLY MADE IT.
