demanding more modernization
3. And they want to have a role
in governing themselves.
4. Ram Mohan Roy had a modern
thinking to educate Indians
5. Began a campaign to move India away
from traditional practices and ideas
6. "Father of modern India" Ram Mohan Roy saw arranged
child marriages and the rigid caste separation as parts
of religious life that need to be changed
7. He believed that if the practice were not
changed, India would continue to be
controlled by outsiders

As India was trying to modernize by a group of people,
Ram Mohan Roy came to help Indians with ideas to
educate them in way that they are happy, and therefore
he is known as "The Father of the Modern India"
