4. Introduction
• As one of the subjects that is examined in the
national exams, English should be well and
intensively presented. English teachers should
always try to apply appropriate method,
strategy, or model of teching to make students
ready enough to face the national exams.
Teachers play an important role in reparing
their students to get good grade.
5. Continued
Teachers should make the atmosphere of the
teaching and learning process in a such way so
that it can make the students enjoy studying.
They should always try to give impression that
Englis is interesting and not difficult. The
perception that English is as a miserable thing
should be ommited. Teachers should trust
their students that there is no difficult
language.

Language is a skill. It means that it should be
practiced every time, everyday and every
chance. Without practicing the language, it
will be difficult for the learners to know or
understand.

7. National Exams
Rational:
• We have to prepare our students to have national exams which are
scheduled to be held next month.
• We have held several mock exams, individual extensive tutoring and
in-depth learning sessions.
“We’re running the mock exams because of the high standards the
students have to attain in order to pass the national exams.
Students have to average 5.5 in four subjects with no more than
two grades less than 4.0 in order to pass the national exams this
year. Students at vocational schools have to average 5.5 in four
subjects and score a 7.0 in a practical test.
8. National exams
According to Minister of National Education Regulation No..
39 year 2007 Article 2, that the purpose national exams
to: (a), assess the attainment of graduates nationally on
the subjects Indonesian Language, Mathematics, and
Science (IPA), and (b) encourage the achievement of
targets compulsory quality basic education .
Furthermore, in Article 3 stated; Results national exams
used as one consideration for (a), the mapping quality of
the education unit, (b), the basis of selection into the next
education level, (c), the graduation of students from the
education unit, and (d) , basic coaching and providing
assistance to the educational unit in an effort to improve
education quality.
