  11. 11. Focus of the AR <ul><li>Writing </li></ul><ul><li>Pupils had difficulties writing sentences. </li></ul><ul><li>- limited vocabulary; </li></ul><ul><li>- lack of knowledge in grammar; </li></ul><ul><li>- weak sentence structure. </li></ul>

Conclusion <ul><li>Most pupils generally have improved in terms of constructing correct and meaningful sentences. </li></ul>Advantages Disadvantages <ul><li>Pupils have more confidence in writing; </li></ul><ul><li>Pupils attempt on asking meaning of words and using dictionary to find words that they do not understand. </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of sentence variety. </li></ul>
  26. 26. Suggestion for Future Research <ul><li>Pupils can be taught more sentence variety and dictionary skill; </li></ul><ul><li>Similar or improved action research strategy can be conducted with pupils in Level One (especially Year 3). </li></ul>
