The document discusses the author and their group booking equipment for their film production. They demonstrate improved knowledge of what equipment is needed and how to use it properly. This allowed them to book the right equipment for specific purposes, making their film easier and better quality. They also discuss using software like Adobe Premiere Pro for editing, which helped organize their film.
2. Myself and my group are now fully aware of what equipment to use and
what they do, so when it came to booking the equipment for our film we
knew what to book and why for its purpose.
We have booked more advanced equipment this time round and has
developed our ability to recognise and understand what piece of
equipment does what.
This makes our film better and easier to make because we spend less
time of trying to book the wrong equipment or the unnecessary
equipment and book the correct equipment and film quicker.
This has made us better as a group to understand the concepts of the
technology and as a whole we have became better in terms of
knowledge and understanding.
In terms of software we used sound effects and video transitions which
made our film look and sound better. With our film also being rendered
the film came out smooth and all the shots worked our well.
3. We tried to get a shoulder mount, camera, tri-pod, SD card, these
pieces of hardware were all helpful in our production for our film
and made it easy as possible for our group to make.
In terms of software we used the editing programme Premier Pro
to help cut and put into organisation for the film, this made our
film easier to create and finish.
Premier Pro was the best editing software otherwise we wouldn’t
have been suggested to do our editing on this software. It is quick
and easy to use however is confusing if you aren’t used to it.
The GoPro was the only piece of equipment we wanted to try but
couldn’t because there was none available at the time therefore
we decided to leave that piece of equipment. We would have
liked to of have used the GoPro but sadly we ordered the
equipment at the wrong time.
4. The tripod is best for a shot where you are trying to get a still
shot because it is rooted to the ground and will remain still
unless it is knocked over or wind blowing it over.
Premier Pro was the best for editing the clips to create the film.
The Nikon camera was best for the recordings due to the quality
it produces unlike a phone camera would.
The shoulder mount would be best for a moving shot because it
will be kept fairly steady and will capture different types of
shots.
5. The new technologies have changed media production because of
the advanced features now on some technology it makes a huge
difference in terms of sound, visual and the way films are
recorded.
Technology will only get better, soon enough films will be so
advanced they will capture the best shots which are better quality
than the human eye.
This is good and bad, good because the public get better quality
films and get more for what they pay for. It is bad because for the
companies it will cost a lot of money to buy this advanced
equipment and technology meaning some companies will go out of
business.
Without these technologies the film would be no where near to
the standard that it is at. Therefore the impact is huge because of
the way it captures quality film footage to share with the world.
6. We collected all of our knowledge together and taught each
other what certain things do on specific types of
technologies.
For example on the camera to review a recently recorded
video I didn’t know how to do this until Kieran told me how
to and now I understand this and will know this for future
times.
