TARGET AUDIENCE
THE TARGET AUDIENCE FOR OUR MEDIA PRODUCT WILL BE TEENAGERS. THIS IS LARGELY BECAUSE THE
MAIN CHARACTER IS A TEENAGER, WHICH RELATES TO THE TARGET AUDIENCE MORE.
GENDER
BOTH GENDERS ARE THE TARGETED AUDIENCE. THIS IS BECAUSE THE TEENAGE GIRL CAN EASILY REFLECT
THE EMOTIONS FELT BY THE GIRL CHARACTER IN THE OPENING SEQUENCE. THE TEENAGE GIRL IN THE
OPENING SEQUENCE ALSO MAKES BOYS A SUITABLE TARGET AUDIENCE. THIS IS BECAUSE OF BOYS MAY
NATURALLY FEEL PROTECTIVE OVER THE GIRL WHO ENDS UP BEING KIDNAPPED.
SOCIAL GROUP
THERE IS NO SOCIAL GROUP WHICH WAS MAINLY TARGETED WITH OUR THRILLER OPENING SEQUENCE.
HOWEVER, A MIDDLE CLASS FAMILY WOULD BE THE MOST IDEAL TO WATCH THE THRILLER. THIS IS BECAUSE
THE FILM IS SET IN A CITY. A BUSY ROAD IS SEEN BEHIND THE GIRL WHICH SHOWS THAT SHE POSSIBLY
COMES FROM THE CITY. THIS MAKES THE FILM MORE RELATABLE TO THE MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES.
TARGET AGE
THE TARGET AGE FOR THE THRILLER FILM IS 12-19 YEARS OF AGE, ALTHOUGH OLDER ADULTS MAY ALSO
WANT TO WATCH THE FILM, ALTHOUGH THE OLDER GENERATION AND A LOT LESS INTO THRILLERS. THE FILM
HAS BEEN RATED AS A 12A UNDER THE BBFC REGULATIONS. THE FILM DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY SWEARING OR
GORE, HOWEVER, HIGH LEVELS OF TENSION MAY BE PRESENT A FEW TIMES THROUGHOUT THE FILM. THIS
MEANS THAT AN ADULT MUST ALSO LEGALLY ACCOMPANY A CHILD WHEN WATCHING THE FILM IN THE
