1. GC4: The Product Explanation
The product I was specifically in charge of was the first flat on Stage Right. When creating this
product I had to do everything from start to finish making this flat correct and perfecting to my
design.
The Construction Process
Firstly after getting the flat by the size of …….I had to
draw my design of the ladder and measure it to the
correct scale to make sure that it would fit perfectly
and look like the images I had sourced when
researching the play. I had to measure the correct
spacing between each step of the ladder and then
also make that it fit across to the flat next to me to
make it seem more realistic as one flat instead of two
and also so that it didn’t look cramped onto one flat.

spacing of the escape ladder in place.
This is picture evidence of me having to drill the steps of my flat in the
correct spacing that I had marked out to create 3D steps of the fire
escape and so that I could start painting them the colour I had
designed with ease.
This is picture evidence of me going over the back colour of my flat
in beige to create a general coating for me to go over with
different paint to create dirt and brick pattern to make it seem
much more realistic and the beige help that design stand out much
more when on stage.

2. GC4: The Product Explanation
This is picture evidence of me creating the detail
of the dirty onto my flat to create the more
realism that it is a flat building in Manhattan. I
have dirtied it up because when looking in the
script it says when they sing “96,000” that they
are in financial difficulties there for I have made
it seem like a run-down area.
