I had to make sure I was effectively

able to understand everythingI am telling
themand If I neededmycrewto do

properly. Iwouldgive mycrewthe scripts

Managing Time
Thiswas veryimportantwithin
productionasI had a set time toget
my filmdoe by.Soto manage time I
createda productionschedulesand
thisschedule toldme when Ishould
filmeachscene andthisis allowed
me to understandat eachstage
where Ishouldbe at duringshooting
scenes.WhilstImade thisI hadto
thinkaboutretakesif a shotwasn’t
as goodas itcouldbe soI allowed
extratime forretakessoI don’tfall
behindschedule.Ialsohadto use
my storyboardandto make my
productionschedule because Iwas
Using this production schedules made me
manage time and save so much money in
the process. This is because everything
structured and every shoot was done with a
purpose and I had target to achieve every
day of where I wanted to be after each
shoot. By doing this I would done my
shoots properly which minimise the chance
for reshoots or retakes because everything
was done properly first time. if I would
have freestyled my shoots with no
production schedule then I would not know
what I am doing my crew would also be
very confused and this would lead too
many retakes and reshoots done because
everything is not done properly.

and howmuch I wantedtoget done.But
before shootingmyschedulerequired

and loadsmore to make sure my film

to make sure I had all my equipment

readyto filmstraightaway. I also
gave my cast scripts,storyboardand
call sheetssotheyknewwhatthey
were doingandrehearsedsothis

were onthe wavelengthasme. Ialso
spoke tomy crew formallysotheyall

confusedwithanyslangwords.By

I had to create a riskassessmentto
manage all risks.Thiswas very

Thisriskassessmentwouldminimise
the chance of anyone gettinghurtor
injuredasall the crew wouldknow
whatlikelyrisksare andwe as a
teamare wouldhave reducedthe

where everythingwasandwhenI

where everythingwas.
WhenI filledinall the documentationthe
firsttime, Imade sure I done itproperly
all the dateswere filledinproperlywith
no mistakes. ThenImade sure I keptit
safe and hadit organisedbyusing
housekeeping.Thisallowedme tosave
moneybecause Ididnot have togo over
anythingwhichwould waste alotof time
and money, soitwas goodthat I was able
to ignore thisissue.
DuringproductionIhad to make a change
to my scriptand add differentshotswhich
made the movie better.These changes
were made duringshootingwhere we
realisedsome linesin the scriptdidn’twork
so we workedasa teamto change them
whichmade the shotsbetteras the lines
made more sense andworkedbetterfor
the film.Due to thisI hadmake changesto
the script andprint themoutto give to my
cast membersagaintomake sure they
have the most upto date script.If I kept
the oldscript thiswouldleadtoactors
beingconfusedbecause theywouldnot
knowthe newlinesandtheywouldkeep

One of the problemsthatoccurred
was the weatherof the day.We shot
whenthe sunwas out,and this

the actor. So we had to waitfor the
sunto come downa bitthenshoot
but thisproblemstill occurred, butI
was notas bad as before.
Thiscouldhave beena financial problem
as I couldhave justtoldthe crewto go
home and we couldhave shotanother
day.But thiswould have meantI paidall
my crewfor nothingalsopaidforthe
equipmentthiswouldcausedproblems
for mybudget. InsteadItoldmy actor
keeprehearsinghislineswe kept
shootingtosee howeverythingwould
have lookedif itwasn’tforthe sun.
Whilstwaitingforthe sunto come down
we done all the inside shotsfirst which
tooksome time and once the sun came
down,we carriedon withthe ones
outside.BydoingIsavedmoneyanddid
not waste anyonestime.
One problemwasmystoryboardswasn’t
detailedenoughsoforone of the scenes
youcan see mymainactor laughing.This
leadto me havingto reshootwhen I
realised, he waslaughing.Duringthe
reshootI made sure I toldmy actor
properlywhattodo and howhe should

Ways you could be better
in future productions
The bestway to improve nexttime
wouldbe choosingbetterlocations.
The studiofor the warehouse scene
was goodbut itwas notbig enough.
The lightingcrewhadto work 2x as
hard because theyhadto figure out

at the dayrates andwhat can save me
