DEAR student project

2. On 4 December
2015 a group of
students and teachers
from secondary school
Zdravstvena i
veterinarska škola Dr.
Andrije Štampara visited
us to present us their
project “DEAR student”.
Among the goals of our Erasmus+
project “Young citizens of Europe – our
future” is strengthening ties with
secondary schools and learning about
the importance of sustainable
development.
3. A group of 75 students and teachers were doing the project
in cooperation with HILS – Croatian Institute for Local
Government. HILS works on promotion and development of
Local government in Croatia and the training of local
government to manage their own functioning and development.
The project was
presented to our
eighth graders.
4. DEAR – Development education and awareness raising
Target groups of the DEAR project:
pupils and students (from primary, secondary and higher
education), schools, teachers, decision makers,
The project is carried out by 14 partners in 6 European
countries.
The aim is to raise the awareness of the importance of
sustainable development and the use of renewable sources
of energy, so that our Earth can survive.
6. They visited plants for
production of biogas and
wooden pellets.
They visited some houses
heated by renewable
sources of energy and
made an interesting film.
7. At the end of the project presentation, our students played
an interesting association game to revise the new terms they
had learned.
