2. Our school building

3.  Our school is located in Palma, the capital city of the Balearic
Islands.
 It is in a multicultural neibourghood, where people from a lot
of different countries live. For this reason, Son Canals is a
multicultural school. Thanks to this, we learn a lot from the
other cultures we live with.
 We are a small school. We just have 10 groups: 4 pre-school
and 6 primary. It means we are like a family: everybody knows
each other.
 There are about 28 children in each group.

8. Our teachers at Son Canals
 The senior leadership team: 3 teachers (Headteacher, deputy headteacher,
secretary. One of them is also the sport teacher)
 Pre-school: 5 teachers (4 class teachers + 1 support teacher)
 Primary: 6 teachers (6 class teachers. One of them is also the music teacher in
our school)
 English Teacher (1 teacher) + A Comenius assistant to reinforce oral English
 A religion teacher
 Teachers to cover special needs of our students (4 teachers):
* 2 speech therapists * 2 therapeutic teachers
* 1 Catalan teacher to help the international children to learn this language
 A special team composed of a psychologist and a social worker.
