Imagine dragons are signed with Interscope Records which is a
subsidiary of Vivendi S.A. and the parent company of Interscope
Records is Universal Music Group.
They are also signed up with KidinaKorner where its distributors are
Interscope Geffen A&M and Universal Music Distribution.
Interscope Geffen A&M is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group,
they are the distributors for KidinaKorner. But they have distributors as
well. That distribute to the (UK) its called Polydor Limited and
Universal Music Distribution.
3. About Imagine Dragons
Back in 2010 they were just a lounge act playing most nights in casinos
and bars. But Train’s frontman fell sick just before the Bite of Las Vegas
festival and they were contacted to fill in to preform in front of 26,000
people in one night compared to their normal average of 2,000 people
weakly. Then they became more popular stated to play and small time
venues until November 2011 they signed with Interscope Records and
began working with a Grammy award winning producer Alex da Kid.
In 2012 they released a few EP (singles) followed by their debut studio
album ‘Night visons’ which launched them international success. With
the life cycle of 2012 to the early months of 2014 With a sold out tour
that spanned from early 2013 and ended in mid 2014. In very late
December they released singles of there new hit album ‘Smoke and
Mirrors’ then the full album with a bonus CD in February 2015.
4. Production process
From both full albums and EP’s they are all written by themselves but
produced and recorded by both them and Alexander Grant ‘Alex
da Kid’
5. Label input
The labels them selves had no input with the whole pre production
and most of post production. The only input the labels had was
KidinaKorner where it coincided with the band in producing and
recording the songs. Then both KidinaKorner and Interscope
distributed.
