DJ Mendez was born in 1975 in Valparaiso, Chile but moved with his family to Stockholm, Sweden in 1986 at age 11. He began his musical career in 1999, releasing his debut album "Latino for Life" which was a success in Europe and Chile. He has since released several other albums between 1999-2012. In 2009, his hit song "Lady" reached number one in Chile and was the song of the summer that year. In 2012, he starred in a reality show about his life with his family called "Los Mendez" aired on Chilean television.

2. Biography
 Leopoldo Jorge Mendez Alcayaga was born on
July 21, 1975 in Valparaiso, Chile is a Chilean
singer, known by his stage name DJ Mendez or
simply Mendez. His musical career began in 1999
from Stockholm, Sweden, where he lived most
of his life, that year released their debut album
Latino "for life" with singles that had great
reception in Europe and in Chile, after it has
released four more albums, Adrenaline / Mendez
in 2001, Dog persevering in 2003, then Made in
Chile in 2011 and "The Mendez" in 2012.
