2. Heritage definition
• Heritage is the set of all patrimony, material or
immaterial, which, by its own value, should be considered
of interest to the permanence of culture and identity of
people.
• Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live
today, and what we pass on to the future generations.
• Cultural heritage is part of our patrimony such as
castles, churches, homes, parks, urban centers, and even
places with significant value for
history, archeology, paleontology and science in general.
Movable patrimony includes, for
example, paintings, sculptures and crafts. Immaterial
patrimony is literature, music, folklore, language and
customs.
