This document outlines the content to be covered in a senior biology class over three trimesters. The first trimester will focus on the cell, including structures of prokaryote and eukaryote cells, animal and plant cells, cell organelles and their functions, the cell membrane, and cell transport mechanisms. It will also cover biological molecules like carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids. The second trimester will examine DNA structure and replication, transcription, translation, the cell cycle, and mitosis and meiosis. The third trimester will cover the circulatory, gas exchange, and immune systems in humans, as well as infectious and cardiopulmonary diseases.
