  1. 1. El tiempo pretérito - formas regulares The Preterite Tense - Regular Forms
  2. 2. ¿Cuándo se usa? When is it used?  The Preterite is a Past Tense. It is used to express action that happened at a particular point in time.
  3. 3. Formación Formation  For regular verbs: Drop the “-ar/-er/ir” from the infinitive. Add the correct letter(s) ending.
  4. 4.   7. 7. “Yo” form spell changes....  Verbs ending in -car/-gar/-zar require a spell change in the yo form. c-->qu Saqué muchas fotos. I took alot of photos. g-->gu Pagué diez dólares. I paid ten dollars. z-->c Empecé a las dos. I began at two o’clock.
