2. WHAT’S ERASMUS+?
Erasmus+ is the EU Programme in the fields of
education,
training,
youth youth
sport
for the period 2014-2020.
3. WHAT ARE THE GENERAL OBJECTIVES?
The Erasmus+ program contributes to the
achievement of:
the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy, including
the objective regarding education;
the objectives regarding the european cooperation in the objectives regarding the european cooperation in
education and training ("ET2020");
the sustainable development of higher education in
partner countries;
the general objectives about youth (2010-2018);
the objective regarding the development of european
sport dimension.
4. WHAT ARE THE KEY ACTIONS?
Key Action (KA) is a set of activities and projects
that can be funded under Erasmus+.
The project includes five actions:
KA1: Learning Mobility of Individuals
KA2: Cooperation for innovation and good practices KA2: Cooperation for innovation and good practices
KA3: Support to policy reforms
Supporting studies on European integration
Promoting the development of the European dimension
in Sport.
We are talking about KA1 as we are interested in
this one.
5. WHAT’S KA1?
Key Action 1 supports mobility in the education, training
and youth sectors.
The scope of KA1- Mobility of individuals - is the mobility
to life long learning and concerns the students and the
workers of secondary schools, too.
KA1 supports, in general, mobility of learners and staff KA1 supports, in general, mobility of learners and staff
too.
There are opportunities for students, young people and
volunteers, as well as for professors, teachers, trainers,
youth workers and staff of education institutions to
undertake a learning and/or professional experience in
another country.
6. WHAT STAFF MOBILITY PROVIDES?
Staff mobility provides:
teaching periods: this activity allows teaching staff
to teach as a partner abroad. Staff mobility for
teaching can be in any subject area or academicteaching can be in any subject area or academic
discipline.
training periods: this activity supports the
professional development of teaching and non-
teaching staff in the form of training events abroad
and job shadowing.
8. WHAT’S JOB SHADOWING?
Job shadowing can be accomplished by some of
the following activities:
analysis of the host school structure, general
organization and job methods;
organization of lessons, classrooms, class groupsorganization of lessons, classrooms, class groups
teaching in their own language or in the language of
communication or in the language of the host country;
exchange of teaching experiences with colleagues in
the host country;
observation and acquisition of new methods of
teaching, evaluation, interaction with students and
colleagues.
9. WHAT’S JOB SHADOWING?
Job shadowing allows participants to acquire
knowledge and teaching skills different from
those usually adopted with the aim of adopting
good teaching practices, organizing lessonsgood teaching practices, organizing lessons
and practical/laboratory activities and, through
dissemination, involve their institution in a
process of educational and organizational
improvement.
10. WHAT’S JOB SHADOWING?
Job shadowing is an active partnership
between the two schools that could be
extended not only to teachers, but also to the

It is also fundamentally important to have
experience in the language of communication
(in our case, English) not only in the context of
teaching activities, but also in the practical useteaching activities, but also in the practical use
of everyday life.
12. WHICH FIGURES ARE INVOLVED?
Before starting the mobility period the sender and
host organizations, together with staff, have to
agree about the activities that they’ll have to be
doing (a “mobility agreement”).

activities , to improve their skills and gain cultural
awareness, in collaboration with the project contact

Contact teacher: prof. Merike Sikk
Tutor of the host school who collaborates in
planning the activity and guides the teachers in the
period in which they will be in the host school.
