Construction Mitigation Monitoring
1. Construction Mitigation Monitoring
During the environmental review process for a new project, NEPA and
CEQA require that mitigation measures be established and monitored to
avoid or reduce impacts to threatened and endangered species or cultural
resources during construction of the project. Chambers Group designs
and implements Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plans for
proposed projects and performs construction monitoring per these plans
during construction.
Chambers Group provides award-winning environmental approaches to ensure minimal
disruption to construction schedules and good communication and coordination among
project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Chambers Group also routinely
provides environmental awareness training of sensitive resources on-site for client and
construction teams.
Mitigation activities may include habitat restoration and enhancement, relocation of sensitive
species, structural modifications for sensitive species (e.g., fencing, wildlife crossings), removal
of predators, excavation (data recovery) of artifacts, development of a mitigation bank, or
providing funds for habitat creation in a mitigation bank.
Construction Mitigation Monitoring Capabilities include:
Preparation of Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plans
Compensation Plans to address impacts to species
Contractor Environmental Awareness Training
Permit Compliance Monitoring
Erosion Control Monitoring
Restoration Monitoring
Post-construction documentation of compliance
HAZWOPER trained staff
