2. SOFTWARE – PHOTOSHOP
CS4 & CS6
 For the production of our film, we will be using Photoshop to edit our font of our
title, to make the title more attractive, we will be using the quick selection tool, and the
rotating function in Photoshop to complete our font editing
 In our font we will be adding more curly lines on to the original font to connote the
complex friendship between Ali and Lexie, we will also be using the curly lines to form a
symbol of infinite which connotes their long lasting friendship.
 For Photoshop CS4, we will be able to have access to it through school computers in
media department as well in the boarding computers
 For Photoshop CS6, we will be able to have access to it through our technical
director, which her computer has it equipped

3. SOFTWARE –
FINAL CUT PRO X
 For the production of our film, the main software we are using will be Final Cut Pro
X
 We will be using this software to edit our all our films, as well as to trim our audio
which allows us to match the audio with the visual
 Cuts, fade in/out , eye line match and action match will be applied during our editing
of our film, we will also be using the function of stabilisation in the final cut pro which
helps us to have a more stable footages which eliminates the shaking scenes
 For Final Cut Pro X, we will be able to have access through the school’s media
department computer, we means that we must have all our films edited during school
hours in order to use the software.

4. HARDWARE – CAMERA AND
ACCESSORIES
 For our production, we will be using the Panasonic HDC-TM900 Full HD Camcorder, we
will be using this camera to record all visual footages of our film. We will be using the auto white
balance and the auto focus in the camera when we are filming, no changes will be applied even
though we will be having to shoot out doors since we don’t want to “show” the character until its
in the indoor scene, and during the filming of the indoor scenes, change in iris will be applied
through the camera to allow the footages be able to recorded with enough light.
 To ensure the quality of our film we will also be using the Tripod as well as the Tripod Dolly
wheels, to increase the stability of our footages.
 We will be able to have access to these equipment through the media department, which we
must make sure that we have booked all the equipment before the shooting.

5. HARDWARE – AUDIO
 For our production, we will be using the Zoom H4n Portable Handy Audio
Recorder , we will be using this recorder to record all our audio footage.
 To ensure the quality of the audio in for film, we will be using the Rode
NTG-2 Powered Shotgun Microphone along with the Rode Long Reach Boom
pole and the Rode Dead Cat, this ensure us to have clearer audio as well as able
to eliminate the ambient sound of the environment
 We will be able to have access to these equipment through the media
department, which we must make sure that we have booked all the equipment
before the shooting.

6. HARDWARE - LIGHTING
 For our production, we will be using the LED Light to create the
low key lighting in the woods, with will be attached on top of the
camera while we are filming.
 We will be able to have access to the equipment through the media
department, which we must make sure that we have booked all the
equipment before the shooting.

7. PRESENTATION
 For the presentation of our research and planning of the
production of Eighteen, we have used different online
presentation application to present our work.

8. SLIDE SHARE
After making a presentation through the
Microsoft PowerPoint, it will then be uploaded to
SlideShare ( http://www.slideshare.net/) which will
then be embedded and posted on the our blog

9. PREZI
For Prezi, we will be producing an animated
online presentation, which is very similar to
slideshare, but instead there are movements in the
presentation which helps to catch the attention of
our audience

10. POWTOON
 For PowToon, we have used it to create a cartoon
presentation with animated figures, movements and music
added in the background, a cartoon video is then produced, we
chose to use this because we will would like to have more
types of presentations used in our blog.

11. YOUTUBE
For some researches, we have choose to create a
video with the information that we have found
out, after editing, we have post it on to youtube,
which is then shared on to the blog.
