1. PDHPE In today’s society, children are more and more ‘wrapped in cotton wool’ as the expression goes. They are restricted to staying close to home for safety reasons, they are bombarded with advertising promoting an unbalanced diet and are no longer stimulated by simple recreation.
2. PDHPE addresses these issues and provides the opportunity for the growth and development of students holistically.
3. Some key elements are: Physical activity Strategy, decision-making and teamwork Healthy living and eating Safe use of roads, education about sexuality and drugs Relating to others
4. The PDHPE curriculum should and can be presented: Creatively Inclusively Enthusiastically Accurately Thoroughly
