I. Objectives
At the end of the session, the students should be able to:
a. discuss the nature of non-communicable diseases
b. explain non-communicable diseases based on cause and effect, signs and symptoms,
risk factors and protective factors and possible complications
c. practice ways to prevent and control non-communicable diseases
d. promote programs and policies to prevent and control non-communicable diseases

2. What is the difference between non-communicable and communicable diseases?

7. Give examples of Cardiovascular diseases?

D. Application:
Divide the class into three groups. Each group will be assigned to create advocacy
on the prevention and control of NCD’s or think of ways to prevent and control NCD’s.
Group 1: Brochure
Make a creative brochure that informs your classmates about NCD’s , cause and
effect, signs and symptoms and prevention and control of NCD’s.
Group 2: Song/Poem
Write a song or poem that focuses on NCD’s, causes and effect, signs and
symptoms and prevention and control of NCD’s.
Group 3: Role Play
You will make a short role play about the prevention and control of NCD’s
E. Generalization:
Watch downloaded videos from the internet about Non-Communicable Diseases.
IV. Evaluation
