Cold Water – Justin Bieber
Shot One
The pop promo will start off with an establishing shot in
the area in which the character lives. It will be a birds eye
view where there will be buildings and landmarks. The
camera movements will be slow and last about 5 seconds
and then cut to another shot of buildings. This happens
just before any lyrics or music begins.
Shot Two
After the last shot, then the camera will be lower and be as if the
audience watching is there. The camera shots will be like the
previous shots but will be filming people walking, buses and any
other things going around at the time. The last shot before the
main character is introduced, will be of the characters
Shot Three
Shot three will be of the character. The shot will be
a far shot from the bedroom door and then cut to
a mid shot of him in bed. The shot will then remain
there for a few seconds until his phone lights up
by receiving a text.
Shot Four
Shot four will be him waking up due to the text, he will
rub his eyes and then sit up and pick up his phone. As
soon as he picks up his phone, a little speech bubble will
come up and say the name of who its from, the time and
what the text will say. The camera will be still and remain
in the mid shot.
Shot Five
Once given the audience time to read the text message, the camera will
cut to a close up shot of him reading the message and then his reaction
to it will be shown by his face. He will then get up out of bed and stretch.
Once he leaves the shot, the camera will be in the corner of the room
and show him standing in his room.
He will then take a cigarette out of one of his draws and light it.
Shot Six
Once he blows out the smoke this is when the music and lyrics will
begin. The lyrics will say ‘Everybody gets high sometimes, you know’
after this he will be walking into the bathroom as he camera remains
where it is and then becomes a long shot of him in the bathroom
starting to get ready.
Shot Seven
The lyrics will continue saying ‘What else can we do when
we're feeling low?’ while this is happening the camera will
be behind him looking into the mirror as a reflection shot
as he is brushing his teeth and just looking into the mirror.
Shot Eight
Next, will be a close up shot where the camera will
be facing the side of him while he is washing his
face. As this is happening, the lyrics will continue ‘So
take a deep breath and let it go’.
Shot Nine
Once he looks up, the camera will then cut to a close up
shot back to the reflection shot where he will look into
the mirror at himself. The lyrics will then say ‘You
shouldn't be drowning on your own’
Shot Ten and Eleven

skate park, the next part will be playing and we watch his journey towards there.

close ups of him and different parts of his body from the head down. The lyrics
