The project aims to create a specialized website for illiterate, disabled, refugees, immigrants, and minorities. The website will be available in any language and use voice control and responses instead of text. An artificial intelligence system will provide personalized support and help to users. It will also function as a free online computer for each user, available globally through internet access. The project aims to have a global impact by helping millions with limited financial resources through an innovative use of new technologies.
1. Project status: FINAL SUBMISSION
Team Leader:
Dan Stefanica
Name of the Project:
It’s going to be the future soon
Impacted Group: Illiterate,
Disabled, Refugees,
Immigrants, and Minorities
Number of youth to be impacted:
In the range of millions
Period of project/action:
It will run continually from its start at
a global level
2. With a considerable experience in the online sector and with already
proven concepts and ideas, I believe that the Internet and its
resources, if used, will benefit the target groups considerably. First of
all, the project will require few financial resources, its impact will be
Global, it will use the latest technologies (such as artificial intelligence)
and it will run continually after it is started.
3. What is the project about?
My project is to construct a special website for the targeted groups
(Illiterate, Disabled, Refugees, Immigrants, and Minorities).
First, how will this site be available:
- It will be available in any language (Refugees, Immigrants, and Minorities).
- It will not have a lot of writing, the website will use voice control and it will also respond
thru voice (Illiterate, Disabled, Refugees, Immigrants, and Minorities).
- The website will benefit from an artificial intelligence (that we have used in other
projects) that will allow all it’s users to get help and support in any problems they may
have (Illiterate, Disabled, Refugees, Immigrants, and Minorities).
- The website will also act as a personal computer (using new cloud computing
technologies) and will allow each user to have his own PC free of charge, available in any
language and any part of the world that has an internet connection
(Illiterate, Disabled, Refugees, Immigrants, and Minorities).
- It will be intuitive to use and filled with useful information such as for example (
information about the country you are in, nearest embassy, nearest facilities for disabled
people, job opportunities, news) and basically everything and anything that can help the
person. All will be available in their language (thru writing or speech) and all will be
provided by the Artificial Intelligence System.
4. What is the target group that it help and why?
The target groups are: Illiterate, Disabled, Refugees, Immigrants, and Minorities
Because it allows voice control and it will also answer using sound rather than writing,
it will be perfect for an illiterate person. It will also probably be the only website than will
use this interface and offer specialized support for this targeted group.
It is also perfect for a disabled person. Because it will offer an online PC, they will not
have to carry one around. Because it will be voice operated they will not have to make the
same effort as typing or siting in a chair would require. It will bring specialized support and
help.
It can also be perfect for Immigrants. Because of its multiple language interface and
speech control (that will eliminate the different style keyboards). Its also important it offers
a computer (stored in the cloud), that can be used from any location that has internet
(internet cafés, computers in public places, even in computer stores). The same ideas apply
to refugee or minority groups.
5. What did I want to achieve?
Something that can have a global impact and that can also appeal to as many
unprivileged categories of youth as possible. Something innovative that can allow such
groups to benefit from the technology that we use and take for granted every day.
Something new, imaginative that can help millions and only requires very limited
financial resources.
Something that can really help people, gives them support and improves itself every
time it is used.
Something that offers everyone a computer that they can access anywhere and
anytime.
Something that helps people in their own language and is easy to use(intuitive).
6. Is this project innovative
Yes! It has never been attempted before to my knowledge. It uses technologies that
are very new and that not a lot of people know about/know how to use.
Moreover, it combines the innovative technologies into a very efficient and elegant
solution that can be available to million of people all over the world.
The project can be improved in time and it can adapt to changing requirements, new
technologies, also taking into consideration user feedback.
7. Could you bring this idea on regional or even global level?
Because of its use of a multilingual interface and easy intuitive design it can be used
with no problem all over the world.
The project is meant to be global, it is available where ever there is an internet
connection.
It can be offered in public buildings or in any location that allows people to access it.
