1. Claude Ezran:
“From Bold Vision to Flawless Execution”
Example: Palo Alto World Music Day
• I had the original vision and founded this annual festival. I signed-up key
partners and sponsors, put together a detailed action plan, and then
recruited and led a super-charged team of volunteers to organize it
• The event has been a roaring success five years in a row. On June
16, 2013:
– Got 50 musical groups (200 musicians total) to perform for free
– Got 20,000 people to attend, though social media, PR, advertising and
partnerships
– Got the City of Palo Alto to close off University Avenue, its main artery, to
traffic for most of the day
– Spent only $1,000 to pull it off!

award at the Seybold show.
• VMX, Inc.
Helped conceive of, and then had worldwide product
marketing responsibility for start-up division focused on
unified messaging and desktop telephony software for PC
LANs. Our market leadership in that area was one of the key
reasons why Octel acquired us.

Other Examples
• 3Com
Was one of the key players who conceived of, and brought to
market, "EtherLink III Parallel Tasking", the immensely
successful line of third-generation Ethernet adapters with
3Com's own chipset. Within five months of
introduction, adapter sales doubled, contributing to a tripling
of 3Com's stock price.
• Intel
Convinced CEO of the need to realign the executive bonus
program with company objectives. Helped him design the
new implementation.
