Bridget Riley is a British artist best known for her black and white geometric abstract works that create sensations of movement through varied geometric forms and lines or patterns of color. tessellating patterns

2. We used coloured pencils to make large patterns in Op-
Art style. We used bright colours and geometric designs
to create the pictures. The technique allowed us to use
contrasting colours and straight and curved shapes in our
designs

3. We used chalk on black paper to make designs with sim-
ple shapes such as circles and lines. We invited our par-
ents into school and they helped us to press hard with the
chalk to make the lines bright and strong. Our designs
were very effective on black paper
We even tried making our
designs using food.

4. We used cardboard combs to
get a similar shape of lines in
our paint. We used combs with
different sized gaps to get differ-
ent effects
We coloured in circles of dif-
ferent sizes using crayons. We
made the same design on
each circle . Then we stuck
the circles on top of each other
in decreasing size.. We made
sure that each circle faced a
different direction to create the
illusion of movement
We used two colours and drew
lines in a grid to make quadrilaterals
which we coloured in alternate col-
ours. This created an illusion of per-
spective. We added shapes in the
same colour to create the depth of
the picture.
