2. How to work with passives
Working with passives is not difficult, you just
express an idea in a different way.
Example. I wash my dog
This simple sentence is in active voice,
3. Active voice:
When the subject does the action, so in the
sentence “I wash my dog” the word “I” is
the subject and it is doing the action.
While
In the sentence: “my dog is washed by me”
the subject of the sentence is the word
“my dog”, but is the dog doing the
action?
Have you ever seen a dog washing himself
in a full shower with soap and shampoo?
5. This is why this sentence “my dog is washed
by me” is in passive voice because I am
talking about the dog, but the dog is not
doing the action, is receiving the action by
me.
