3. NOUN
• Noun:
• Noun is the name of a place, person, thing or an animal or in
other words, Noun is a naming word.
For Example:
 Ahmad is a boy.
 This is a chair.
 I love Panthers.
 Peshawar is a beautiful city.

4. PRONOUN
• Pronoun:
Pronoun is a word which is used instead
of noun.
For Example:
Ahmed is my class fellow. He is a good boy. He offers his
prayers on time. He is a hardworking student.

5. ADJECTIVE
• Adjective:
Adjective is a word which add something to the
meaning of a noun or pronoun. OR the word which qualify
the meaning of noun or pronoun.
For Example:
 Ahmed is a good boy.
She is an intelligent girl.
You are a lazy boy.

6. VERB
• Verb:
Verb is a word which shows an action.
• For Example:
 Sara is weeping.
 Aslam is walking.
 Farhan is singing.
 Ruby is eating an apple.

7. ADVERB
• Adverb:
Adverb is word which add something to the meaning of
verb. The qualifier of verb is called adverb.
For Example:
 He walks slowly.
 Do it quickly.

8. PREPOSITION
• Preposition:
Preposition is a word which joins noun and pronoun
to the other parts of the sentence to understand the real
meaning of the sentence. In other words, preposition shows
the position of noun or pronoun.
For Example:
 I go to school.
 This book is written in simple English.
 The cat is under the table.
Others are: to, of, for, up, down, over, at, on, into.

9. CONJUNCTION
• Conjunction:
It is a word which joins together words, phrases,
sentences and clauses. In other words, It is a joining word.
For Example:
 You have to do your homework so that I’ll give you money.
 Ahmed is very poor but he is still honest.
 Bring it home while writing this letter.
Others are: Neither….nor, Either….or, although, or,
that, so.

10. INTERJECTION
• Interjection:
Interjection is a word which express emotions,
feelings, sudden feelings of the mind.
For Example:
 Hurrah! We’ve won the match.
 Alas! Tom’s father died.
 Aha! What a beautiful phrase it was.
 Oh! I really get you right now.

11. ARTICLE
• Article:
The words which is used to specify the meaning of
noun , pronoun etc…..
A & An : Indefinite articles.
The : Definite article
For Example:
 A pen is useful thing.
 I’ve eaten an apple.
 The book is on the table.
