2. EWS (Extreme Wide Shot)
The view is so far from the subject that he isn't even visible. Often used as
an establishing shot.
This was used at the start of our documentary, showing the audience the
cathedral.
3. VWS (Very Wide Shot)
The subject is visible (barely), but the emphasis is still on placing him in his
environment.
This was used to show me and the person I was questioning and also the
background.
4. WS (Wide Shot)
The subject takes up the full frame, or at least as much as comfortably
possible.
AKA: long shot, full shot.
5. CU (Close Up)
A certain feature or part of the subject takes up the whole frame.
This was used when Jack focused up on me when I was asking the
questions.
6. MCU (Medium Close Up)
Half way between a MS and a CU.
7. MS (Mid Shot)
Shows some part of the subject in more detail while still giving an
impression of the whole subject.
8. Two-Shot
A shot of two people, framed similarly to a mid shot.
This had to be used, for when me and Jack were both talking about the
documentary.
