• His father was Carl Alexander Frege. Carl was the cofounder and headmaster of a girls’ High school until His
Death. After his death, The school was led by Auguste
Sophie Frege which was Gottlob’s mother.
• Gottlob’s father wrote a textbook on the German
language for children entitled “ülfsbuch zum
Unterrichte in der deutschen Sprache für Kinder von 9
bis 13 Jahren „, Which incuded structure and logic of
the language.
3. • Frege Furthered his education at the university of Jena in
the spring of 1869 as a citizen of the North German
Confederation.
• In four semesters of his studies, he attended about 20
courses of lectures and most were on mathematics and
physics.
• In 1871, Frege furthered his studies in Gottingen, which
was the leading university in mathematics in German
speaking places.
• In 1873, Frege got his doctorate under Ernst Christian
Julius Schering, with a paper on a geometrical
Representation of Imaginary Forms in a Plane. which was
meant to solve fundamental problems in geometry.
