3. • First of all, on behalf of the campus
management board, I warmly welcome all of
you who come here to attend the opening of
the English club.
• As you all know, English is a very important
language and is the key to your academic
pathways, your personal development and
employment. This means that if you are very
good in English, many good opportunities
open up for you.

Why learning English is important? perhaps this is the biggest
factor you should consider.
One in every five people in the world (whole world) can speak,
or at least understand English. It’s a very handy language for
travel and communication.

As the primary language of business; it is very important to
know how to speak English when talking to international
colleagues/partner or customers.
Having English language skills increases your chances of
getting a good job, whether in a multinational company or
working abroad.

Unlike other languages, English has no gender, no word
agreement, has a simple alphabet and grammar system.
The reason why English is the easiest language to learn is
because of the vast selection of English resources to learn from,
including TV shows, movies, music, books and websites.
There are many resources available to help speakers. There are
hundreds of thousands of books written about learning English
as a foreign language that you can use to improve.

Have you ever considered studying abroad?
Where do you want to study? Countries like The United

programs in English (also in VN: HMU, VinUni);
Which means that learning English might accessing a
better education.

Almost good book from J.K. Rowling to Stephen
King to Jane Austen; or many good songs such as
Love story, Casablanca….., TV such as BBC,
CNN, Bloomberg, NHK…., or Medical science
publication like Lancet, The New England Journal
of Medicine, JAMA, BMJ, are in English. Learn
English, you’ll finally be able to listen to, watch
and read your favorite songs, TV program, books
and Science Articles in their original form.

Lastly, most of the content available on the internet are
in English, like YouTube videos, FB, Twitter,
Instagram and websites are in English and available be
translated from English to other languages. Learning

depends on your English abilities.

• That's why we are here to discuss about how to
run our English club effectively

22. • About me: I started to learn english so late, I could not afford
English class, mostly I learned my self at home from tape
recorders, book ..etc……; I used leisure time to learn English
such as from 17h-19h of three day a week, I try to use it every
day, try to write medical record in English..etc..
• Now I can use English for my work; and I used to obtain
international fellowship from some well-known University
around the World for short course study to improve my
knowledge and skill;

our dream, such as:
- Going to study abroad during your medical
student time, through the students exchange
program between HMU and many Medical
School Worldwide.
- Participate post graduated course in along run
such as: Master Course, Resident Doctor or
Fellow Doctor Course.

30. 1)Study abroad: International students exchange
 During your Medical students time, you can
participate a short study course abroad, and I
promise to help you to find the course and
write the Recommedation Letter for you;
 You must prepare the money for: air ticket,
travel around, accommodation; the tuition fee
may be free.

31. 2) Abroad short studying course: from one month to
one year;
 These course may be provide fellowship, especially
with people have resident degree or PhD degree,
may be with people have Master degree;
 You can find the course on internet and apply
online for the fellowship;
 International fellowship are competitive
Worldwide, so you may lose several time, but you
should try many time till achieve it;

32. 3) Do Master/PhD abroad:
- This always have fellowship from Government
or from University, University Hospital;
- You can find the course on internet; through
intergovernmental cooperation programs and
apply for the fellowship;
- This are very high competitive Worldwide;
you must have TOEFL or IELTS Certificate;
- You should try so many time to obtain it
