Working Title;
Family history radio podcast
Product’s Purpose:
The products purpose is to off be a radio podcast of which in the style too inform people
and be of a more factual style, with much more formal use of language forming it being
based on the style of informing people and being very factual and serious.
Genre:
The genre of it, is to be a radio podcast with the idea of it, being more of the factual kind, it
is the idea of being 3-4 minutes long, which makes it not too long, but long enough, that it
will not bore the listener.
Content
My radio podcast is based upon being about my family history, in specific being about my
granddad. This will be based upon the idea of using my younger brother to ask questions
about him and between him talking I will use sound effects, which will kind of keep the
audience interested without boring them. My podcast in some sense kind of has a story, as
it will talk about memories to do with my granddad, but not so that they all merge into being
a story.
Audience:
My audience, is aimed at being more of a middle aged, as the type of podcast that mine is
based on being bout family history, I feel that the age around it should be is 40-50, as this I
believe would be the age of which you would be interested in this type of podcast. I believe
that my podcast can be aimed at male and females, but more of the kind who would be
interested in this type of podcast. The social status of my audience would categorise, into
higher class, as my podcast is based upon being more of a formal type.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
My podcast won’t really include any material that is seen to be offensive, as it is based on
family memories of my granddad, which will is basically a family history/tree, so I hardly
believe that it will included any offensive material, or if it does it hasn’t been said purposely
as it is based on being around memories. I won’t really be able to restrict younger people
from being able to access it, as even with an age restriction they would still be able to
access it in some way. Depending upon the memories that are spoken of, it could offend a
particular group of people in some sense. Too try and not offend any societies/groups I will,
try to exclude the idea off including memories that are seen to be offensive in any sense.
Considering the fact that my podcast is based upon being included in the idea of family
history I highly doubt that it will have included any idea of any characters/names/logos of
existing products. Yes my product will be sufficiently different from other products because
it is based upon being around about my family history, so therefore I highly doubt the fact
that it can be seen in any sense to be classed as copyright.
