Globalization is defined as the process by which the world is becoming increasingly interconnected through increased production of goods and services and improved transportation and telecommunications technology. Localization refers to restricting something to a particular place by emphasizing local customs and practices to preserve identities. While globalization has led to improved connections, the spread of ideas, and the flow of goods and services, it has also resulted in increased political nationalism and separatist groups seeking to preserve local identities.
