1. Thursday: How can we slow down the Greenhouse Effect?
A- Analyze the learner: Analyze the learner-Third grade class, 12 girls and 10 boys, 50%
white, 30% African American, 20% Hispanic. Five of the students have mild ADHD.
S- State Objectives- The students will know five ways they can slow down the Greenhouse Effect by
the end of the day with 100% accuracy. They will do this by visiting websites and taking notes on
the information they find.
S- Select Methods and Materials: This assignment will be an individual web search assignment, you
will use the website to complete the assignment.
U- Utilize Media and Materials: Each student will make a list of five things they could do in their
everyday life based of the information found of the website.
R- Required Learner Participation: Together as a class we will use the smart board to create a list of
things the students have come up with to help improve the Greenhouse Effect effects.
E- Evaluate and Revise: We will discuss the list we have made on the board as a class and see what
similarities and difference we had.
