protecting civilians. The United Nations also takes part in other events such as supporting election

The creation of the United Nations (UN), the largest organization in the world introduced a new
reform for collective security around the world after the failure of the League of Nations. Such a
reform is vital for the international community as it zealously promotes concord and security, which

I choose this topic to reflect more about the complexity of the UN as an organization. In this paper I
want to present an overview standpoint of documents, publications, databases and websites to show
the history and the different branches in the organization and raise some of the accusations behind
the peacekeepers.
After the First World War, people felt the necessity of an international organization with the task of
maintaining global peace. After the 1st World War the League of Nations was the outcome of that
feeling, but it was found that nations were unwilling to give any international authority the
jurisdiction over their lands. But after the result of these selfish policies the Second World War

international politics, since there are "no hierarchy of authority exists in international relations"

The General Assembly is one of six of the main organs of the United Nations. It was officially
established in 1945 by Chapter IV of the Charter of the United Nations, which guaranteed that all

The economic and social council hold most responsibility for the UN's World Food Program that
was founded in 1961, this had great success on providing food for people in need such as war zones,

The League of Nations and the United Nations are two unique forms of international governance
created by world powers out of the same necessity–needing a better format of managing global
conflict. However, both international organizations were created, structured, and operated under
very different circumstances. For instance, the League of Nations was created during towards the
end of World War I, when nations were looking for a governing body to address future global
conflicts. Similarly, the United Nations formed after World II in an effort to address the shortcoming
of the League of Nations, which failed to redress global security conflict and prevent the war. In

genocides in human history. Both genocides: the hutu and tutsi massacre in Rwanda, and the
